A huge crowd came, about 75, and we had a great time learning the history of the neighborhood (both scandalous and stately), enjoying the charming houses, and talking amongst ourselves.
Leigh was kind eough to give a large group of us a special tour of the Springfield historic district, just North of downtown Jacksonville.
Leigh took us on the Old Mandarin tour and it was great! She talked about the history of the area as well as showed us some real nice homes in the area. She goes at a leisurely pace, so its not like a race. We would definitely do it again and would highly recommend it.
We took the San Marco tour and it was a wonderful experience! The bikes were brand new and in excellent condition. We were provided with water and a healthy snack. Our tour guide was very personable, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I have lived in Jacksonville for 26 years and learned many new things about my city! We were riding at a nice pace, stopping along the way to learn interesting facts and to take in the sights. A bald eagle was one of the highlights and is often spotted along this particular tour. I have already made plans to complete all five of these tours and have recommended this ride to all of my friends!
