This place is pretty AWFUL. FOOD is Pretty AWFUL. Our server Ashley was pretty cool and pleasant. The place was PRETTY EMPTY. And I understand why. Blue Water Daiquiri and Oysters is PRETTY BAD. SORRY GUYS YOU SUCK. And I'm not mad or disgruntle. You just suck.
This place not only has terrible food and unpleasant staff, but they are also thieves. My cancer stricken cousin held a cancer Benefit with blue water where they kindly promised that a portion of their sales would be donated due to the hundreds of people that showed up to her event to support her. This is not her first battle and she is not doing well. Now that the event is over with, they went back on their word and refuses to contact her in return of dozens of phone calls. I don't know what kind of scum owns this bar, but I hope that karma comes back and he gets what he deserves. Don't support these people. STAY AWAY
Tried this bar out with a group of friends and was thoroughly disappointed. Drinks were straight sugar mix, no alcohol. Only one waitress and one bartender for the entire bar (they were slower than slow). Left after 45min and won't be back.
Management definitely needs to reevaluate some things.
Nicest staff everrrr, got a seafood bowl and was very satisfied. Good job on the Mojito with fresh mint right off the plant :)
Service was bad, drinks were terrible, and the music was quite off-putting.
As a local of Jax, i am familiar with all of the great restaurants in the area. Also, as a current business owner, I am aware that there is a standard you should hold your business to. I came as a patron to Blue Water to support a close friend who is currently dealing with her 3rd fight against cancer. I was under the impression that the proceeds of my night out were going to support my friend, Lala. She's a tough woman and was given an "opportunity" to help her unfortunate situation. I wouldn't have been a patron of this restaurant if it wasn't for her situation. I've been here prior to this and the food and service was subpar. I'm not the type to leave negative reviews but they lied to this woman, who is fighting for her life to make a little extra cash.
