I personal think that jax beach police are pretty cool. From many years of being@ the the beach i have learned that you really have to push them to the limit for them to mess with you. They are a lot better to deal with then the idiots in Neptune beach because they are not going to mess with you if your not doing anything wrong unlike Neptune beach police who will make sure you did something wrong even when you didn't.
They should be out fighting crime, not giving me a ticket for driving with my headlights off. Even after I explained to the officer that I LITERALLY just got off work and told him that I work at a hotel on the beach by bars in an area that is very well lit. I could not tell that my headlights were off, I usually keep them on automatic therefore I did not check to see if they were on. Of course, he ends up issuing me MY FIRST ticket for something so stupid instead of giving me a warning. It's not like I'm a repeat offender! Go catch some damn crack heads and leave us good citizens alone.

Called Jacksonville Police Department and they could do nothing about somebody hitting my car even though I had that license plate number this makes no damn sense. So just talked to a SO CALLED supervisor shackleford and needless to say we will never drive thru or in this area! They don't know every law and they think they are above the law!!

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Jacksonville Beach Police is a joke. A man came on my private property and urinated on the entire side of my vehicle. My husband chased the culprit, who then ran into Bo's Bar. Bo's refused to serve this individual (I talked to the bar tenders afterward) and the man ran out of the building. My husband then walked up to the vehicle which the man got into, who then proceeded to flick my husband the bird and pull off down 2nd street. Jacksonville Beach undercover police, who just so happened to be nearby, saw my husband running after the man. The undercover police said they were going to go after the guy. I then flagged down a Jacksonville Beach police cruiser who got out of his car, and clearly did not care to listen to the issue. He constantly rolled his eyes while I was talking and when I was done he said that "we just need to get over it" instead of looking into the issue. Unfortunately I cannot remember the officer's name. What is the point of having law enforcement on the streets when they laugh at your concerns. I realize there are "bigger" concerns in the neighborhood but to be treated like this is unacceptable. Jacksonville Beach police needs a wake up call.
